Our journey began at CERN, the birthplace of the web, where our team met. In 2014, on the 25th web anniversary, we created SafeConnect Mail to restore online privacy. The SafeConnect project emerged to better protect activists and journalists using SafeConnect Mail.

SafeConnect was launched by childhood friends in 2012. They had spent a lot of time in different parts of the world, but saw the same picture: growing internet censorship, content control, and intrusive government surveillance. In other words, they saw a rapidly growing need for an internet security tool that’s easily accessible to everyone.

My personal recommendation is which has a free tier that you can use forever. It doesn't keep logs so even if someone did try and make hem hand over data, there's nothing to hand over. It's quick, easy to use and easy to set up on your phone and PC.
